CONCERN: In northern Argentina, 4 in 10 people are poor

4 out of ten people is below the poverty line in northern Argentina. In urban centers, 2 of every three Argentines are poor. These figures contrast showing the "success of the summer season in Mar del Plata indicating that hotel occupancy is 95%.


On average, just over two out of three Argentines living in urban centers in the country is poor, according to a survey of the Center for City Bank.
However, if the lens sits by region, compared to the Federal Capital, in the northern provinces the gap is triggered poverty.

For example, while the Northeast rate exceeds 40 percent, the Federal Capital does not even to ten (8.6 percent).
In real numbers, there were about 10 million poor people around the country, of which 2.6 million would be in the metropolitan area (with a ratio of nearly 10 to 1 between the inhabitants of the suburbs and locals) and another 3 million in rest of the Pampas, published the newspaper.
"The Argentine north is the area hardest hit by the scourge of poverty, with rates above 40% in the Northeast and close to 34% in the Northwest.
This marks that after eight years of strong growth, considerable areas the country continue to socially neglected, "says the report by the Center City Bank studies.
Meanwhile, for the consulting Ecolatina, the number of poor, on average, reaches 30.9% of the inhabitants of Argentina.
